I live in Birmingham, Michigan, with my husband Kyle, our son Nathan and our daughter Evelyn. The blog is named for our late dog Pete, a Rhodesian Ridgeback who died in 2014. Late in 2015, we returned to the US after living five years overseas (Seoul, South Korea and Königstein im Taunus, Germany).

Please Hold

Nesting has begun!

Our household sea shipment arrived Monday afternoon.
Since then it has been:

Unpack.
Arrange.
Rest.
Repeat.

So, please hold tight while we make our way through this:

And this is just one of the rooms!
Thankfully they unpacked about 75% of our boxes and put our beds/furniture together
(Kyle wouldn't let them touch the baby's stuff or the office boxes).
Making progress (I swear!)
Pete saying goodbye to the rental furniture
(all his beds were in the wash, and this is where I found him when I came into the
living room the day of the move/shipment).
Naughty.

Okay, stay tuned for some fun before-and-after pics!

100 Babies in a Line

35 weeks!
Finally.
Already.

I remember being at five weeks and saying to Kyle, "Only 35 more weeks." Wow. And here we are--35 down, five (give or take) to go!

35 Weeks
35 Weeks

Yesterday at our prenatal appointment, we learned that Baby C's estimated (key word) weight is 3kg. That's 6.6 pounds--whoa! Dr. Kwon said, "If I put one hundred babies in a line at 34 weeks, your baby would be at the end."  I wondered if she said it that way because it sounded better than "Your baby's weight is in the 100th percentile."  When I told Kyle of this conversation, he giggled (and giggled).  Then he posted it on facebook.

PS--I must apologize for breaking my New Year's resolution to post at least (if not more than) once a week. I am sorry! Although, I have an excuse--last week my dear friend Rebecca Bahar-Cook was in town (super fun) and the weeks on either side of her visit have been filled with the American Women's Club Cherry Blossom Gala prep (I am the Gala Chair). Thankfully, the Gala is this Saturday, whew!
