I live in Birmingham, Michigan, with my husband Kyle, our son Nathan and our daughter Evelyn. The blog is named for our late dog Pete, a Rhodesian Ridgeback who died in 2014. Late in 2015, we returned to the US after living five years overseas (Seoul, South Korea and Königstein im Taunus, Germany).

High Five!

Yesterday, Evy turned five months. She's smiling and cooing and laughing and rolling up a storm. She is very, very happy. Unless she's hungry...I wonder where she gets that?

Why so serious?
High five!
Up High? What's that...
Down Low? What do you mean I am "too slow?"
More of a fist pump kind of girl

Very happy about the weather here!
Not to brag...

Nuremberg (Holiday 2013)

Finally (one of) my Christmas movies is complete! Actually, it's been done for quite a while, but there was a little music glitch...Anyhoo.

Our first stop on our European Christmas Vacation was a quick overnight in Nuremberg, Bavaria's second largest city. Nuremberg is most often linked to World War II. It first served as the site of many pre-war Nazi rallies, then was nearly leveled by Allied bombing, then was the site of the famous post-war Nuremberg Trials. The city has much to offer today's visitors, including the rebuilt Nuremberg Castle and the world-famous gingerbread at Hauptmarkt.

Next stop, Prague!
